2019년도 한국다문화교육학회 국제학술대회 개최 소식을 전해드립니다.

1. 일정 안내                                                                 

1) 주제: Multicultural Education and Diversity: Driving the Potential for Changing Societies in a Globalizing World (다문화교육과 다양성: 글로벌 시대의 바람직한 사회변화)

2) 일시: 2019년 5월 22일(수) - 5월 24일(금)

3) 장소: 서울대학교 호암교수회관

5월 22일(수)에는 World Coalition for Equity and Diversity of Education (WCEDE) 의 제 1차 세계회의를 개최합니다. 

1차 세계회의에는 미국다문화교육학회, 유럽상호문화교육학회 및 한국다문화교육학회 대표자들이 참여하여, 다문화교육 및 상호문화교육과 관련된 다양한 현안들에 대해 토의할 예정입니다. 

관심이 있는 분들은 청중으로 자유롭게 참여할 수 있습니다.

5월 23일(목)과 24일(금)에는 한국다문화교육학회 국제학술대회가 진행됩니다. 

기조연설, 구두논문, 포스터논문 발표 등이 이루어지며, 총 17개국에서 외국 소속 학자 60여명, 내국 소속 학자 40여명이 발표자로 참석합니다.

2. World Coalition for Equity and Diversity in Education (WCEDE) 1차 세계회의

• The Korean Association for Multicultural Education, the National Association for Multicultural Education, and the International Association for Intercultural Education are pleased to announce the founding of the World Coalition for Equity and Diversity in Education (WCEDE). 

• The WCEDE is an alliance of national, regional, and international associations that work toward advancing inclusive and cross-cultural education based on principles of diversity, social justice, equity, and human rights, both within and across national borders, with the goal of serving the public good and influencing educational policies around the world.  

• The WCEDE seeks to advance inclusive and cross-cultural education based on principles of diversity, social justice, equity, and human rights, both within and across national borders, with the goal of serving the public good around the world.

• The WCEDE will hold its first tri annual Congress in May, 2019 in Seoul, Korea and will be hosted by the Korean Association for Multicultural Education. This Congress will provide representative members as well as educational professionals in dialog around critical questions around issues such as immigration, refugee education, indigenization, and sustainability in multicultural societies.

• The WCEDE is open to inviting other organizations committed to these principles and goals to contact us regarding membership in the Coalition.
